Illumination
Illumination, was a first-of-its-kind outdoor light exhibition at The Morton Arboretum. Within the first two years of opening, more than 270,000 visitors embarked on the mile-long journey to see trees in a different light.
Strategic conceptualization was essential to overcoming barriers of uncertainty as to how light would project onto trees at night. The design represents how the audience views the projections onto lit trees. Design needed to be flexible, as it was applied to collateral, interpretation panels, banners, and many other applications.
